About Cambrian's Cove

Cambrian's Cove was started in 1988 on 130 acres situated between Five Island and Frederick Lakes just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia. A newly constructed (2006) divided highway, 1 km from our entrance, affords fast and safe access into Halifax. Cambrian's Cove is surrounded by lakes and undeveloped lands on three sides, protected from further development by its private roads. We are minutes away from public schools, shopping centres, the ocean and recreational facilities.

Our design philosophy incorporates several strategies to maintain the natural charm and tranquility of the surrounding wilderness by designing private paved roads that curve around natural features of granite outcrops, old pine trees and lakes.

A private tennis court, hiking trails and lake access for all residents, and close proximity to an ice rink, rails to trails and the ocean, offer opportunities for an active lifestyle.

Restrictive Covenants and an approval process for house designs ensure quality of homes, limited tree cutting and natural home exteriors. Large lots (1-3 acres) comprised of softwoods and hardwoods offer seclusion, natural landscaping and changing colours through the seasons.
